As a reader my ears are always perked to book signings in the area. When I saw one of my favorite authors, Jodi Picoult, will be in the area for a book signing I was immediately intrigued.

She's promoting her new book, "House Rules." Here's the synopsis of the book: "Devoted mother Emma Hunt is shocked when she and her family suddenly find themselves at the center of a police investigation after Jacob - her 18-year-old son with Aspergers's syndrome- is accused of murder in this hautning novel from the best selling author of 'Handle with Care.'"

I may not fit in with the majority of my age bracket, but I can't wait to bid adieu to Conan O’Brien. I have never been a fan and really dislike him. There is a fight over the remote control in my house now that the red-headed, jumping host has taken over as we’re split on liking and disliking him. When Jay Leno was winding down to leave I was seriously upset. I always watch Jay over David Letterman, I just like him best.

A few months ago I went to a local car wash with a half-off coupon and was really pleased with the quality of the wash. So last Thursday when my car was begging me for a wash I brought it back to the same place – sans coupon to get it super clean and shiny.

Sometimes I don't believe what I'm reading, or hearing or seeing. I'm going to start posting them and hope to get some feedback.

Here's the most recent one:

The little girl who was seen at the opening ceremonies for the Beijing Olympic games was apparently not the same little girl who was heard. Check it out:
