Every month there are things that I come across in my job that never make it into print. Sometimes its something simple, other times its kind of silly. Here's a list of some recent observations.

So .... there's still no frontrunner for the Democratic Party's nominee for President of the U.S. What, if anything, should the party do? Should they let the thing run out until the convention, or should they start thinking about the long term, now that the John McCain has locked up the Republican nomination?
Is life so busy that we don't have time to say "thank you" to our family members, the people we work with and those we come in contact with every day? Maybe it's because I'm nearing the big 5-0, but I don't think people say "thank you" enough.
Case in point -- as journalists we're always asking someone to give us something for a story. But how often do we tell them thank you? Sure, maybe it's their job, but those two words go a long way.
The world is too serious! Add your funny story and/or joke here. Please, no "dirty" jokes, just something fun!

At Monday night's meeting of the Savage City Council, something unusual happened. Meetings get under way after everyone says the Pledge of Allegiance.
