Never washed one but my husband's once went swimming in a hotel toilet -- it never dried out enough to even retrieve the address book. Personally, I'd have never retrieved it from toilet.

My college roomie dumped an entire water bottle onto the keyboard of her new laptop freshmen year. We turned it upside down and let it dry out - not a drop of damage! Hopefully, you're as lucky with the cell phone!

From my experience with wet cell phones you may as well start shopping for a new one as soon as possible.

If you take the battery out and let it dry, there is a chance to retrieve the contacts, but that chance is slim and the phone's battery will be very weak.

I have had a cell phone get water-logged from being in my pocket during a heavy rain storm, so a trip through the washing machine could be a kiss of death for the phone.

I seem to have more of a problem dropping cell phones onto hard surfaces and watching them break, rather than getting them wet.

One time I dropped my phone onto the ground and then accidentally stepped on it. Yes, that phone was a goner.

My husband dropped his phone in the lake once and it was perfectly fine. My dad recently drove over his phone with his truck and it still worked, though the screen shattered. I barely tap mine on a table and it breaks.

motion that was more than questionable on many levels!! Not only was the original motion fiscally irresponsible, it also left students interested in pursuing an education at the fine arts magnet with the choice of an arts education OR a core cirriculum with advanced course options.

Again, thank you School Board Members for allowing the performing arts magnet to go forward while taking advantage of the existing resources of this school district (saving over 2 million dollars THIS YEAR ALONE) and allowing students the opportunity of advanced studies at BHS.
thanks,

I'm washed my phone a number of times and also dropped it down the toilet! I normally take it completely apart and part all the pieces in a warm place such as the airing cupboard or on top of a radiator. Sometimes I get lucky and it works again!
