Gas-price quandary

» Read similar stories filed under:

Here's a question: Why is gas 20 cents more per gallon at the SuperAmerica on County Road 42 and O'Connell Road than it is at the SuperAmerica less than 2 miles away?

It's also 20 cents more than the Kwik Trip directly across the street. What gives?

All of the prices are going up for the extended driving weekend. Enjoy. Good thing I don't have 600 miles of driving in front of me tonight...oh, wait, I do. Indianapolis and gasoline-induced bankruptcy, here I come. I had heard that in the Mankato area, prices jumped yesterday at some stations. They went from 2.89 to 3.09 overnight while the national average is just 2.72. Supply and demand I guess.

S.A. is always the leader when it comes to raising gas prices. If you play the odds, you can always find gas cheaper somewhere else.

If my car ran out of gas in front of an S.A., I'd take my chances on it being cheaper a mile down the road and push my car to save 20 cents/gallon.
