Vogue cover controversial?

There's some people upset over the Vogue cover, which features LeBron James amd Gisele Bundchen.

Apparently, the cover perpetuates racial sterotypes. "James strikes what some see as a gorilla-like pose, baring his teeth, with one hand dribbling a ball and the other around Bundchen’s tiny waist.

 "It’s an image some have likened to 'King Kong' and Fay Wray.

Much ado about nothing. The juxtaposition of James posing with his fierce sports growl and bubbly Bundchen, with her hair blowing in the breeze, is attention grabbing.
Racial stereotypes? I don't see it.

I do see a "tough athlete" and a "girly" model...but I think the guy could have been Hulk Hogan and people would have said the same thing.

I agree. Joanna. There is nothing in that cover shot that implies anything but an athletic, fierce man and a happy wind-blown model.

I honestly think people sometimes try to just stir things up to get themselves some attention and cause controversy.
