Chick Magnet Costume -- Dress in all-black clothes, and then glue some yellow Easter peeps all over yourself (or make fake chicks out of pom pom balls and googly eyes).

A friend and I are planning to be tourists, complete with "destination" sweatshirts (I bought a Wisconsin Dells sweatshirt, Malisa got a Boise, Idaho one), a ****** pack, big cameras around our necks, colored socks with tennis shoes, hair up in a claw and a visor or bucket hat.

We threw a lot of other ideas around, but liked this one best.

My son who is 8 months old is going as a turtle, as he just started crawling. Maybe I'll be a hare.

My youngest of whom is 5 years old plans to be a horse. She found this hilarious costume in a store and put it on and would not take it off! She is the rider and steps into it and either can hold the reins or put them over her neck so its head stays up and the legs gallop around her as she walks. It's so cute and she whinnies and snorts as she wears it. Maybe she can give the tourist a ride around the sites!! All my others children in between are gonna hand out the goodies this year. Except for my oldest son, I have not heard from him yet, since he has recently became drinking age he may be up for a costume party?? All of which sounds like great halloween fun to me!

My younger sister is going as a party animal - animal-print dress, a birthday party hat, some of the blowers left over from New Years, etc.

I'm not sure what I'll be yet...still pondering.

October has arrived, and if you're like us, you've already started brainstorming Halloween costume ideas. Well, this is not just for kids, but also for the teens and for the parents as well. Maybe you should prepare now your best Halloween costumes. Halloween costume ideas 2009 are likely to be rife with vampires, because of this entire teenage vampire media binge that we've been getting inundated with for awhile. Twilight, True Blood – boring! Besides, everyone knows that vampires do exist, but they work for the IRS. (Zing!) Pirates were big for the last few years. Thriller or Michael Jackson will likely also be popular. Pop culture references are always popular, and of course there will be a plethora of revealing women's costumes – then again, it's not like anyone's complaining on that account.
