Back to page topThe best thing in an Easter basket is definitely the chocolate Easter bunny. You have to eat it bit by bit. (Is that sadistic?) I start with the ears.

Back to page topI'm diabetic, so candy holidays used to be a form of torture for me. That is until my mother found out that sugar-free chocolates are available, and I found out that they are actually good.
If you have a diabetic in your family, I suggest the solid sugar-free Easter bunny chocolates, or the miniature sugar-free bunnies.
They are really good... And they cure a diabetic's year-long craving for chocolate.
When I occasionally cheat, I am a Cadburry Egg kind of guy. I don't think they make those sugar free. Get on that and you'll have a big fan Cadburry.
Hands down, it's the Robin's...

It's the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup egg for me, all the way. Sure, they taste exactly the same as regular Reese's cups, but they're egg-shaped, which is so much more fun.
My parents have photos of me as a toddler eating Peeps, but I can't imagine ingesting such nonsense.
On the topic of sugar-free chocolate, I've become partial to Dove's variety. They're sold in bags of individually wrapped pieces, in chocolate creme and mint flavors. They are excellent and a godsend if you are on a diet. But migraine sufferers, beware - too many can cause a horrible headache. Must be the maltitol, aka "fake sugar."
