With the money being spent in relation to the "progress" in Iraq, it's a clear cut waste of money. Put the training of the Iraqi troops and police force on the fast track, set a timetable for beginning a pullout of our troops and maybe the world as a whole will begin to see our nation's actions in a positive light and start to react favorably once again to what has been nothing short of a long series of miscues and essentially a "you're either with us or against us" mentality. That kind of attitude does not make others look favorably on your actions.

Will the region be any less unstable without us there? From where I sit, I'd say no. It's very unstable now.

It's tough to measure progress there when the negative seems to get more attention than the positive. But I'm not sure progress is meeting the cost right now.

House Democrats are proposing a measure to require U.S. troops to be withdrawn from Iraq by the fall of 2008. Is this a good idea or not?
