I used to like fireworks.
Then I got a dog.
Our dog is so terrified of them that as soon as she hears the faintest "pop," she tries to run and hide. This has made walking outside particularly difficult lately. Even inside the house, she still hears them and flips out.
Here's what I really don't like: fireworks that start in May and go until September. It would make my dog's life much easier if people shot them off only on July 4 - or at least the week of the Fourth.

I love fireworks, but I'm happy with leaving the safety issues with the pros. There are many professional firework shows in the area. I'd rather attend one of those than worry about burning myself or losing a limb on July 4th!

Do you think the laws should be relaxed to allow the type of fireworks sold in Wisconsin? Or do you think fireworks should be banned all together?
