Ahhhh... Whitesnake. First CD I ever bought. Brings back fond memories. Cinderella was right in there too.

I was and still am a big Wham! fan.

And then of course there's Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Culture Club, early Madonna and Prince, Duran Duran...OH! and Pat Benatar! I was just listening to her yesterday. Hit after hit after deliciously 80s hit.

Styx has had new albums of original material since the 80's. The band has been mostly the same original players since the beginning.
2006 - One w/ Everything (Live w/ Orchestration)
2005 - Big Bang Theory (Covers)
2003 - Cyclorama
1999 - Brave New World
1997 - Return to Paradise (Live w/ 4 new tunes)
1990 - Edge of the Century
1983 - Caught in the Act Live
1981 - Kilroy was here (which was the end of their heyday run)
1973 - 1981 - Millions of Albums sold
1972 - 1st album

I vote for Styx to be inducted into the R&R Hall of Fame. "The greatest American rock band ever" - Adam Sandler

I like the mention of Journey. It seems that "Don't Stop Believin'" is still getting a lot of love but I have to throw in The Smiths who feature two guys till making music today. Care to name them?

Wham! "Wake me up, before ya go go!..." or, how about a collaboration of '80s artists with "We are the World". That was classic.

Journey
Mike & The Mechanics
Beatles (I know, they wrote and recorded their songs prior to the 80's but their music is timeless)
Duran Duran
Howard Jones
AC/DC
Ozzy Ozbourne
Cheap Trick
Boston (more 70's but again timeless)
Steve Winwood
Hall & Oates
Styx
Queen

Hands down, Journey. I love

Hands down, Journey. I love each and every single one of their songs and I am irritated they've been eligible for hall of fame induction for eight years and still have not been.
My tip to them would be "don't stop, believin'!"
