M. W. Savage Elementary School hosted an Oscar awards ceremony Thursday afternoon as a staff appreciation event. Students voted on a variety of categories including best actor (best teacher), best musical score (best music teacher) and the highest honor - best picture, which went to Principal Ron Cin. The whole school gathered in the gym for the "red carpet" event where Student Council members donned black top hats and escorted the award winners.
