The Dan Patch American Legion Post #643, 12375 Princeton Ave., in downtown Savage, is celebrating Mardi Gras on Saturday, Feb. 2 and Sunday, Feb. 3.

On Saturday, a Mardi Gras king and queen will be crowned after Bargo and special music will be provided. On Sunday, there will be an indoor and outdoor parade that includes throwing beads. All-you-can eat Jambalaya will be served for a $1 donation.

The Prior Lake Sportsmen's Club will have its annual ice fishing contest on Prior Lake on Sunday, Feb. 17 from 1 to 3 p.m. The cash prizes for fish caught will be: $75 for first, $50 for second and $25 for third. In addition, there will be grand prize drawings from $300, $200, and $100. The winner need not be present to win the grand prizes.
