Prior Lake High School students will display their artwork at the high school, 7575 150th St., Savage, from 7:20 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. Thursday, May 15 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, May 16 and Saturday, May 17.

Students in the introduction to art, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and graphic design and pottery classes will display their art.

Prior Lake High School art teacher Steve Showalter and pottery students will host a pottery sale on the second floor bridge at Prior Lake High School, 7575 150th St., Savage from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 29.

225 Water Street Creative Arts & Holding Company is looking for the next best “Trash-formation” artist. The contest is open to found object artists (10-100) that want to express their creative abilities using reclaimed materials. There is no fee to enter.

Art Specifications:
1. Materials that would otherwise be trash.
2. Media of your choice that conveys the 3R's, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

Judging Criteria:
1. Use of Recycled Materials.
2. Creativity & Functionality.
3. Originality.
4. Level of Effort

Kids First Garage Sale

Place: 14400 Rutgers St NE Prior Lake
Please join Cultural Care Au Pair for a very special event: a Kids First Garage Sale! Our group of au pairs will be selling all kinds of great items: games, toys, clothing, furniture and more! Cultural Care Au Pair's Kids First holiday cards, CD of international children's songs and the International Cookbook will also be featured at this event.

 Author Barb Frye will read and share her journey of publishing her story, “Emily and Miss Kitty” at 11 a.m. and at 1 p.m.

The Prior Lake VFW Post 6208, 16306 Main St., in downtown Prior Lake, will play host to a steak fry Saturday, May 10 from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.

The band House Blend will be featured at the dinner.
