District 719: Deck the halls, visit Santa

Join the Prior Lake-Savage Family Center for a winter celebration from 10 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Dec. 6.  The family center is located in Edgewood School, 5304 WestWood Drive S.E. in Prior Lake.

The event is $3 per person or $10 per family. Grandparents and infants may attend for free. Activities are geared toward infants to third graders. No registration is required. Activities include:

Santa’s workshop - Children can purchase inexpensive gifts for loved ones; Santa’s helpers will assist with purchasing and wrapping gifts.Photos with Santa - Bring your own camera or purchase photos.Activities, stories - Participate in activities based on popular winter books, such as “Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer,” “The Polar Express,” “Peef: The Christmas Bear,” “Santa Mouse,” “Gingerbread Baby,” “Jingle Bugs,” and “Frosty the Snowman.”

Scholastic Book Fair - Books and stocking stuffers will be for sale at the book fair, Dec. 4-6 and Dec. 8-10, during school hours and the holiday event.
