Learn city's history during tour

The deadline to register for the Savage Historical Tour has been extended to Monday, July 13.

The tour is scheduled for Saturday, July 18 and will be narrated by members of the Dan Patch Historical Society. Points of interest include Boiling Springs, Camp Savage, the Savage Fen, the Savage Depot, and the Savage Library’s Heritage Room.

The tour will conclude with a question and answer session at the McColl Pond Environmental Learning Center. A box lunch will be provided.The tour departs at 10 a.m. from the ELC, located in Savage Community Park at 13550 Dakota Ave. The event will wrap up by 1 p.m.

To register, visit cityofsavage.com or call the Parks and Recreation Office at (952) 224-3400. The cost is $15 per person.
