Scott County Public Health will be providing flu vaccination clinics at senior sites this flu season. Clinics at senior sites will be for adults only.
The schedule includes:

+ Oct. 9 from 9-11 a.m. at Lynn Court Apartments, 4350 W. 124th St., Savage
+ Oct. 14 from 9-10 a.m. Elko New Market City Hall, 600 Main St.
+ Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Schule Haus, 100 W. Fourth St., Jordan
+ Oct. 16 from noon to 1:30 p.m. at Prior Manor, 16049 Franklin Trail, Prior Lake
+ Oct.16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, 4625 W. 125th St. Savage.+ Oct. 17 from 10:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at the Senior Expo at Shakopee High School,
+ Oct. 22 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Levee Drive Apartments, 200 Levee Drive, Shakopee
+ Oct. 23 from 9 to 11 a.m. at Cardinal Ridge Apartments , 200 W. State St., Belle Plaine

Other flu vaccine clinics for adults and children older than 6 months old will be available at any of the regularly scheduled immunizations clinics at Scott County Public Health. A public vaccination clinic is offered on a walk-in basis (no appointment necessary) every Monday afternoon from 1 to 5 p.m. at Scott County Public Health is located in the Workforce Development Center, across from the water tower at 792 Canterbury Road. Enter by the door at the west end of the parking lot, facing Canterbury Road.
The cost of a flu shot at any of the Scott County Public Health clinics is $25. There is no charge for those on Medicare Part B, but you must bring your Medicare card to the clinic. Children that are uninsured or who have insurance that does not cover vaccines can also receive a flu vaccination at no charge through the MnVFC program only at the Monday clinics. Adults and families that have vaccine coverage are encouraged to see their local provider for a yearly flu shot.
FluMist, the nasal spray, will be available only at the Monday clinics at the public health office. The cost of a dose of FluMist is $35. FluMist is available to healthy individuals who are not pregnant and who are between the ages of two and 49 years old.
