Junior shortstop Kelsey Ennenga and the rest of the Lakers picked up a big victory over Farmington May 9 to move into sole possession of first place in the Missota Conference softball standings. The Lakers will look to finish with a flurry, wrapping up the regular season with conference games against Holy Angels May 12, Red Wing May 13, New Prague May 14 and Shakopee May 15. Larson scattered seven hits and allowed three earned runs, while striking out four. Craig Simonson went two for four with three RBIs in the win, while Anders Engberg had two RBIs. Zach Harazon had a double, RBI and run scored, while Evan Walker went two for four with two runs scored. Kambeitz shot an even-par 71 to lead all golfers in the eight-team invite. As a team, the Blaze finished seventh with a score of 326, which was 34 shots behind champion Eden Prairie. Chaska was second (305), followed by Jefferson (313), Hutchinson (315), Prior Lake (317) and Shakopee (319). Kennedy was eighth (343).
