A record-breaking quest

November 22, 2009 - 6:00am

Second-grader Max Kortenhof of Savage stacks speed cups at Harriet Bishop Elementary School Nov. 12. About 600 students at the school participated in cup stacking day, which was an effort to break the previous Guinness World Record, by having about 300,000 students from across the world stack cups for at least 30 minutes in one day. As of Thursday (Nov. 19), 246,365 students from across the world participated, but the numbers are still being counted.
