In spite of being within driving distance of other Lutheran church titans, St. Mary Magdalene Lutheran Church has grown in the last 20 years as a quaint gathering spot for suburban families.

“Living Your Life as a Beautiful Offering” Bible series is being offered each Wednesday through May 14 at Alpha Pregnancy and Resource Center, 13845 Hwy. 13 South, Savage.

Bridgewood Church, 6201 W. 135th St., will have a study on the book “How to Really Parent Your Teenager” on Thursday evenings starting Jan. 30 and ending March 6 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Crossroads Church, 6880 Boudin St., N.E., Prior Lake, is presenting “Two from Galilee” a Christmas drama with a cast and crew of over 65 people.

St. James Lutheran Church, 3650 Williams Drive, is offering a peaceful, candle-lit setting for a time of music, silence and reflection on the Christmas story on Friday, Dec. 14 at 7 p.m.

A new church is being planted in Shakopee and a preview worship service is planned for 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in the auditorium at Shakopee Junior High School, 200 10th Ave. E.

Students at St. Paul Lutheran School in Prior Lake stop for a music break during the Mini Walk for Diabetes Sept. 27.

Systematic Training for Effective Parenting (STEP) is being offered Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at Faith Covenant Church, 12921 Nicollet Ave S., Burnsville.

“Race to the Finish Line” is coming to New Spirit United Church of Christ, 14394 Quebec Ave., on Sept. 16 at during the 9:30 a.m. worship.
