The possibility of a performing arts magnet school in the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District may have walked away, literally.
At Thursday night’s (Nov. 20) meeting, Vice Chairman Ron Hill and Board Member Nancy Banyard both left the table when a motion they didn’t agree with was presented. With them, they took a quorum.

High school honors courses should be filled with the brightest minds possible. But when some teachers noticed a lack of a true representation of the district’s demographics in advanced courses, they set out to do something about it.

Even though Daniel Jeffery is too young to drive or vote and his dad cashes checks for him, he’s the CEO of his own company.
Daniel, 14, may be the world’s youngest CEO.
The Prior Lake High School choirs will raise funds for a trip to Greece by selling stocking stuffers and coffee.
The spring break 2009 trip is optional, so students are planning the Laker Stocking Stuffer and Coffee Fundraiser to help cover costs.
