16 restaurants in ‘Taste of Savage’

As the culinary choices available in Savage continue to expand, so does the variety offered at the Dan Patch Days Taste of Savage.

This year's Taste is Saturday, June 27, from 4 to 8:30 p.m. and will feature 16 local restaurants and three of those are brand new. Each restaurant will be serving up one or more of their specialties.Tickets will be sold at the Community Park for 50 cents each. Most items are priced between $3 and $5. The Taste of Savage is sponsored by the Savage Chamber of Commerce.

Applebee’s: Pull pork slider, French dip slider and southwest chicken sliders (four tickets each or 10 tickets for a combination of all three). Strawberry cocoa frost smoothies (six tickets each).

Axel’s Bonfire: Signature Bull Bites (beef tenderloin tips dredged in Axel’s Cajun spice mix then blackened in a cast iron skillet) cooked medium rare and served with a horseradish cream sauce (six tickets). Or try a sample slice of another Bonfire favorite, their flourless chocolate dessert appropriately named “Death by Chocolate” (two tickets).

Buffalo Wild Wings: Traditional Wings (six tickets) available in six of their 14 signature sauces (six bone-in wings for six tickets or eight boneless wings for 10 tickets). Onion rings (seven tickets), Cheeseburger Dippers (eight tickets) and along with their famous potato wedges (six  tickets).

Carbones: Cheese, sausage or pepperoni pizza (five tickets), or a combo slice (six tickets).

Culver’s: Frozen custard: Chocolate, strawberry and sprinkle sundaes (five tickets).

D. Fong’s Chinese Cuisine: Sesame chicken and fried rice (eight tickets).

El Loro Mexican Restaurante: Beef tacos and chicken fajitas (three tickets each). Rice and beans (one ticket)

Outback Steakhouse: Popular coconut shrimp (10 tickets) and the original super colossal Bloomin’ Onion (10 tickets).

Papa Murphy’s: Pepperoni, sausage and cheese pizza by the slice (four tickets).

Paradise Pizza & Grill: Slice of one topping pizza (five tickets) or one slice of specialty pizza (six tickets).

Perkins Restaurant: Chicken strip baskets (seven tickets) with fries (four tickets) and French silk pie (four tickets). Appetizer sampler (10 tickets).

Roasted Pear: Two slider cheese burgers w/chips (eight tickets). Cheesy Garlic Bread (5 tickets).

Spice: Pad Thai (eight tickets) and cream cheese puffs (six tickets).

Subway: Six-inch sub (eight tickets) chips (two tickets) two cookies (two tickets) or Meal Deal – six-inch sub, chips and cookie (10 tickets)

U-Bake: Bags of M&M's mini cookies (six tickets).

C&C Confections: Lollipop cheesecake (four tickets or two for seven tickets).
