Elizabeth Hannaman and John Prechel of Glencoe, Minn. announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Anthony Hannaman of Savage and Krystal Smith of Chaska. She is a 2000 graduate of Burnsville High School and 2003 graduate of Herzing College in Minneapolis. She is a mechanical draftsperson at Innovent Air.

The prospective groom is the son and Robert and Monica Prechel of New Ulm. He is a 1992 graduate of New Ulm High School and a 1994 graduate of South Central Technical College. He is a machine operator at Kraft Foods.

A Sept. 12, 2009 wedding is planned.
