Elizabeth Ann Shaw and Blake Allen Pederson of Shakopee announce their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Charlie and Lisa Shaw of Lakeville. She is a 2003 graduate Prior Lake High School and 2006 graduate of Argosy University. She is a histotechnician at Methodist Hospital.

The prospective groom is the son David Pederson of Buffalo and Gail Pederson of Savage. He is a 2003 graduate of Prior Lake High School and attended Brown College. He is an export compliance assistant at L-1 Identity Solutions.

An Oct. 3 wedding is planned.
