Rebekah is the daughter of Joel and Beth Stokka of Chippewa Falls, Wisc. She is a 2002 graduate of Chippewa Falls High School, and will graduate from Winona State University with a bachelor's degree in nursing in May 2008.

Alex is the son of Reg and Romana Ruter of Savage He is a 1999 graduate of Burnsville High School and received a bachelor's degree in communications from Winona State University in 2005. He is currently enrolled in the air traffic control program in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

The couple has planned a wedding in May 2008.
