Robert T. Grisim
Robert T. Grisim, 65, of Savage, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008 at Richfield Health Center, Richfield.
He was born in Northfield, Minn. on July 8, 1943 to Robert G. and Mildred (Stanforth) Grisim. He married Darlene A. Enfield on Oct. 27, 1962 in Northfield.
Bob retired after 24 years with the Savage Volunteer Fire Department. He was a member of Zuhrah Temple of the Shrine, the Masonic Lodge and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He was the owner of the Savage Laundry and Cleaners and B and D Carpet Cleaners.
Survived by wife, Darlene; children, Debra (Jeff) Ford, Dianna Hocum, Dennis (Ronda) Grisim and Darren Grisim; mother, Mildred Grisim; eight grandchildren, Jessica, Joshua, Ashley, Amber, Adam, Ashley, Emily and Amanda; three great-grandchildren, Dakota, Nevaeh, and Logan; three brothers and three sisters, Darlene (Alan) Storlie, Jim (Linda) Grisim, Sharon (Bob) Hruza, Darrell (Kari) Grisim, Suzanne (Jim) Pasch, Mike (Kathy) Grisim. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation was Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 from 1-5 p.m. at the McNearney Funeral Home, Shakopee.
Funeral service was Monday, Jan. 5, at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Lutheran Church, Burnsville, with the Rev. William Nordmark officiating. Honorary pallbearers included Jay Storlie and Channon Hruza. Pallbearers were Kent Storlie, Chad and Kenny Grisim, Cory Hruza, Troy and Travis Pasch. Interment at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens, Burnsville.

Patricia M. Rybak
Patricia “Patsy” Rybak, 70, of Shakopee, died Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009 at Auburn Manor in Chaska.

She was born in Credit River Township, Scott County, on April 12, 1938 to William and Susan (Schmitt) Kennedy. She and Martin Charles Rybak were married May 13, 1967, in Shakopee at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Patsy was a daycare provider for several families in Shakopee, and a homemaker who loved caring for her family. She enjoyed bingo and cards, eating out, and visiting with friends and family. She was strong in her faith, and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shakopee.
Survived by her sons, Martin and his wife, Cheryl, of Prior Lake, Gene of Shakopee; grandsons, Jake and Jaden; brother, Francis Kennedy; sister, Darlene Allison and husband Richard, all of Shakopee; sister-in-law, Pat Kennedy of Prior Lake. Preceded by her husband, Martin, in 1998; parents; brothers, William, Leroy, and Clarence.
Mass of Christian Burial was Thursday, Jan. 8, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shakopee. Visitation was held Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at McNearney Funeral Home, 1220 East Third Avenue, Shakopee. Officiating at the funeral service was the Rev. Peter Wittman. Pallbearers were Martin Jake Rybak, Doyle Schultz, Dave Dedeker, Susan Dedeker. Interment at Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations should go to St. Mary’s Catholic Church or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Arlys M. Jensen
Arlys Jensen, 80, of Burnsville, passed away at home of cancer on Saturday, Jan. 3, 2009.

Arlys was born April 2, 1928 to Albert and Helen Anderson in Appleton, Minn. She graduated from Appleton High School. Her first job was in Hopkins, where she met and married Kenneth Jensen of Milaca, Minn. on April 2, 1949.
She was president of the Ladies Aid for two years at St. James Lutheran Church. Also, president of the Savage V.F.W. for two years and treasurer for one year.
Arlys was well known for her great cooking and love of grocery shopping. She also enjoyed her hair appointments and lunches with special friend Mary Boehme.
Arlys is preceded in death by her parents and one brother. She is survived by three loving daughters, best friend, Vickie McKinney of Burnsville, Jackie Fendler and special friend Dave Wolf of Woodbury and Debbie (Rick) Boehme of Shakopee. Also survived by six grandchildren, Scott (Cathy) McKinney, Sheila McGuire, Jeremy Fendler, Jennifer Fendler and fiancé Keith, Michelle (Justin) Warren, Nickolas Boehme and special friend Natalie; eight great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Thomas and Rebecca McKinney, Justin, Jordynn and Jessica McGuire, Kylie and Kieran Warren; also her four-legged companion, Katie.
A special Thank You to Fairview Hospice, especially RN Mary Ann Dols. Special Thank You also to granddaughter Sheila McGuire and her friend Patty Larson.
Funeral service was Friday, Jan. 9, at St. James Lutheran Church in Burnsville. Interment at Pleasantview Cemetery in Burnsville. Memorials preferred.
