Theodore R. Marcum
Theodore “Teddy” Marcum, 55, of Shakopee, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Minneapolis.
Visitation was Monday, May 11, from 9-11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savage, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. The Rev. Michael Tix officiated. Interment at St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Burnsville.

Gordon E. Pickus
Gordon Pickus, 81, of Savage, died Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park.
He was born in Minneapolis on Sept.11, 1927, the son of Henry and Elsie (Swedberg) Pickus. He married Virginia Coleman on April 1, 1950. He was a retired employee of Thermo King where he worked as Parts Manager.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia; three sons and five daughters, Eugene (Judy) of Belle Plaine, Vernon (Susan) of Prior Lake, Darrel of Burnsville, Bonnie (Donny) Jeurissen of Shakopee, Joanne (Jim) Nelson of Wyoming, Irene (Mike) LeMieux of Grafton, Sandy Pickus of Burnsville, Brenda Pickus of LeSueur; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by son, Henry; parents; sister, Shirley Hynes.
Visitation was Monday, May 11, from 9-11 a.m. at the McNearney Funeral Home, Shakopee. Services followed at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Michael Golay officiating. Pallbearers were Jeffrey and Jeremy Pickus, Brad and Jason LeMieux, Brandon and Travis Rollheiser. Interment at Valley Cemetery, Shakopee.

Jack S. Pomeroy
Jack S. Pomeroy, 87, second son of Ethel and Floyd, has passed away.
He graduated with the 1940 Senior High School, St. Croix Falls, Wis. He enlisted and served honorably in the U.S. Navy, WWII, as a torpedo man aboard a destroyer escort on convoy duty in the Atlantic Ocean, after D-Day in the South Pacific. He was an N.S.P. Company employee and member of the I.B.E.W. local 160 for 32 years and lifetime member of the V.F.W.
He was preceded in death by parents; daughter, Jacqueline; son, Michael; brother, Bill; niece, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Survived by his high school sweetheart, wife of 64 years, Maxine (Fish); granddaughter, Anita and her daughters; brother, Gene and his family; nieces, nephews and cousins. He enjoyed visiting with longtime friends, Fritz and Tex and their wives, and Collin. Jack was an affable man, a loving father and a beloved husband. May he rest easy.
Father Michael Tix, pastor of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Savage, officiated at a private service. Military honors were acceded by the V.F.W. Post. With appreciation of kind home and hospice care providers. Safely home in everlasting lights.
