While the Attendance Boundary Committee (ABC) continued plans for dividing students between elementary schools this week, the Prior Lake-Savage Area School Board discussed getting furniture and staff in place for fall 2009 for Redtail Ridge Elementary.
A public memorial service for Ruth Anne Maddox is planned for Saturday, Dec. 6 at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 3611 Berens Road NW., Prior Lake (north side of County Road 42, east of County Road 83) at 10:30 a.m.
Betsy Deering, from Savage, has been named in the 2009 edition of the Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges representing Augustana College in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The Savage City Council approved a lease reassignment Monday night for a new bistro that will open in the historic Savage depot sometime in January.
The action comes just two weeks after the city moved forward with eviction proceedings involving the former tenant, the Dan Patch Coffee Depot. Owner Annette Grant has been involved in the lease reassignment deal and is vacating the depot this week.

A potential revision to the plan for SS-9 protected woodland and a road on District 719 property was presented to the School Board at a workshop Monday.
Scott McQueen of Wold Architects and Engineers told the board that the revised plan would offer a parkway looking road, rather than the original road design.
