I think people would agree that Facebook has become an Internet social media giant. In fact, it is so popular that it is hard to find someone who is not on Facebook.

It is the first day of March, and I take out a blank piece of paper and sharpen my pencil. Outside the window, winter is dripping off the roof and I watch the water slither across the driveway and disappear down into the street drain. I couldn’t be happier. If you ask me, the ice and snow have long outstayed their welcome.

Nearly a month ago, we celebrated Valentine’s Day. When we think about Valentine’s Day, many things can come to mind ranging from colors like red and pink, to gifts of chocolate and roses, to cut-out hearts and the exchange of cards. All of these things help to make Valentine’s Day a time to remember and to celebrate the gift of love.

I have always been an avid reader, with an intense interest in non-fiction and true crime. The stories that are stranger than fiction, the successes and failures of the criminal justice system – it sucks me right in. As soon I finish, I am back to the library, lest I have a moment or two of spare time without a book at my disposal. I just keep turning the pages.

We have all had that special someone at some point in our life, one we looked up to with the utmost of respect. This is a person who has inspired and motivated us to reach for things we may have originally thought as beyond us. These wonderful people enter our lives and are often never forgotten. People such as these are remembered as life changers, or more commonly, role models.
Last week’s fight at a sixth-grade basketball game makes us wonder – do we need security at our schools every time something is taking place?
Well … maybe.
But this is Minnesota, the place where nice was invented, so we’d like to think that providing security at an elementary school basketball game is something reserved for big urbanized cities – maybe Detroit, New York City or Los Angeles. But not in Minnesota!

As I watched the Olympics on TV, there were some great moments -- like when the U.S. beat Canada in hockey.

A common myth about professional organizers is that their houses are spotless. My husband will sometimes joke that I could be on myth busters or someday we’ll read a headline in the newspaper that says “Professional Organizer’s Messy Life Exposed!”

As I sit down to write this article I am aware of a lot of things on my calendar. There are the responsibilities of the Lenten season in the church, and the preparation for Palm Sunday and Easter. There are the many obligations of life, too numerous to mention.
