For the 20th consecutive year, the Burnsville-Eagan-Savage School District received an award for financial reporting from the Association of School Business Officials (ASBO) International. The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) award is the highest recognition for school district financial operations and is presented to school districts that have met or exceeded the standards of the program.
“This award recognizes the district’s continuing effort to meet the highest standards of financial integrity,” said Superintendent Randy Clegg. “It is a prestigious accomplishment.”
District 191 was one of just 18 school districts in Minnesota to receive the award in 2009 and one of the very few to have received it for so many consecutive years.
“This award represents a very significant achievement and reflects your commitment to the highest standards of school system financial reporting,” according to an announcement letter from ASBO.
By preparing and presenting this report, District 191 validates the credibility of its school system’s operations, measures the integrity and technical competence of its business staff, and strengthens presentations for bond issuance statements.
