The Prior Lake High School Student Council received an award for Outstanding Student Council during the state student council convention last weekend in Marshall, Minn.
The award is only offered to four student councils in the state.
The Outstanding Student Council award is given to student councils that demonstrate outstanding leadership and involvement to their school and district, as well as having substantial participation at the divisional, state and national levels.
The Outstanding Student Council award is the highest award a student council receives.
The student delegates that participated in the convention were truly honored to receive such a prestigious award, said Kristi Mussman, the communications coordinator for Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools. It accurately reflects the tireless dedication and positive contribution the wonderful leaders have for Prior Lake High School and the community, she said.
The state delegates were: Jackson Miller, Reese Quesnel, Megan Cahill and Brittany Jaderston.
The award reflects the work of the entire Student Council and the executive board.
