The Burnsville football team took it on the chin for the second straight week.
The Blaze endured another 31-point loss, this time falling 31-0 at Rosemount on Sept. 5 in a Lake Conference game.
Burnsville lost its season opener 38-7 to Eastview on Aug. 29.
Rosemount scored 24 points in the first half and four of its five touchdowns were 24 yards or longer.
The Irish had 322 yards of total offense, compared to 158 for the Blaze. Burnsville quarterbacks were also intercepted three times.
Blaze starter Steve Lembke completed 11 of 16 passed for 95 yards, but was picked twice. Sophomore Cameron Jones was of 1 of 7 for 6 yards.
Junior Francois Tompkins led the Blaze on the ground with nine carries for 43 yards. Senior Matt Hall led the team in receiving yards with 38 on three catches.
Junior Garrett Walters lead the Blaze in tackles with eight.
Burnsville will try for its first won on Friday, Sept. 12 at Chaska in a conference game at 7 p.m.
