Kerry Kraemer, a 2007 graduate of Burnsville High School, competed in two events at the U.S. Olympic Swim Trials in Omaha, Neb.
Kraemer finished 34th out of 90 competitors in the 200-meter breaststroke on July 3 with a time of 2 minutes, 34.7 seconds. Rebecca Soni won the event (2:24.65).
On June 30, Kraemer finished 50th out of 105 swimmers in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:11.77. Jessica Hardy had the winning time of 1:06.85.
Kraemer just finished her first season of Division I swimming at Stanford University. She went to Stanford as one of the most decorated swimmers in Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) history.
Kraemer won the Class AA 100-yard breaststroke title five straight years and is the only female swimmer in MSHSL history to ever win five titles in one event. She also won the state title in the 200 individual medley her junior and senior seasons.
