The Prior Lake volleyball team captured the Visitation Invitational on Sept. 6, beating Simley in the title game 25-21, 26-24.
The Lakers went 4-0 in the tournament, posting wins over Minnehaha Academy, Mora and Vistiation.
In the title match, Sami Kemper led the Lakers with 10 kills, while Emily Holte had eight and Brittni Wangerin had six.
Kathryn Gaydos had 28 setting assists, two service aces and seven digs. Katelyn Behrens had a team-high 12 digs.
Prior Lake (5-3 overall) headed into the tourney on the heels of tough, five-game loss to Holy Angels on Sept. 4 in its Missota Conference opener. The Laker won the first two games (25-21, 25-22), but lost the next three (25-19, 25-21, 17-15).
Gaydos had 42 setting assits and 14 digs in the loss. Behrens had 23 digs.
Wangerin led the tam with 16 kills, while Brittany Thompson had 10 and Holte and Kemper each had eight.
The Lakers will return to conference play on Thursday, Sept. 11 versus Red Wing at 7 p.m.
