Anyone know who Rulon Gardner is? Wrestling fans should.
He won the Olympic gold medal in 2000 with one of the greatest upsets in Olympic history. He beat Russian Alexander Karelin, who hadn't lost in 13 years.
You have to be tough to be a wrestler. You also have to be pretty tough to survive a small plane crash, which Gardner did on Feb. 24. You have to be pretty tough to swim one hour in 44-degree water before being rescued.
Gardner has cheated death before. In 2002, he was stranded while snowmobiling in the Wyoming wilderness and lost one of his toes to frostbite. Then in 2004, he was struck by an automobile while riding a motorcycle.
So, the question to you is: How tough are you? Or, maybe we shoud ask, how lucky is Gardner?
