Litter along roadways can often be seen in the mountains of snow that the plow guys push off the roadways – soda bottles and such are understandable, thanks to inconsiderate motorists.
But what about bigger items? Are these unseen during the plowing and simply pushed along with the big blades?
Case in point: What appears to be a sign post is sticking out of a mountain along County Road 42 in Savage where I don’t know if a sign was standing before. Near my house in Prior Lake, I see about 3 feet of what looks to be a small-diameter tree sticking out of a stack. And, in several places between here and there, I have seen downed mailboxes that are apparent victims of snow plows. How often does this stuff happen?
