The Dan Patch Days Juried Art Competition Show, sponsored by the Savage Chamber of Commerce and Savage Arts Council is on display at Savage Art Studios. The gallery is open to the public for free and features over 90 Minnesota Artists' original paintings and sculptures.
SAC will award winners at Dan Patch Days center stage on June 23rd at about 6PM (between bands). Twenty awards will be presented overall. People who would like to help select the Marion W. Savage Peoples' Choice award, may view artwork at the gallery and then vote for their favorite painting. The votes will be tallied late on Thursday June 21. The winning artist will receive $100 prize too.
Immediatly following the presentation ceremony, Dan Wiemer, the show judge will give a presentation at SAS on his selection process. The judge's reception will be open to the public from 7 to 9 p.m. on June 23.
Also on June 21 between 7-9 p.m., the entire show will be digitally displayed during the wine tasting event. Greg Preslicka has donated an original oil painting to be auctioned off during the silent auction part of the same event.
Then on Sunday June 24, from 9 a.m. to parade time and then again post-parade until 4 p.m., Savage Art Studios will have the gallery open for parade goes to see the show.
The show will run through July 14.
