The Savage Police Department issued 26 citations between Sept. 21 and 27 and responded to 247 incidents between Sept. 22 and 29. Some of the incidents included the following:
CRASHES
A 46-year-old Elko man complained of neck pain but refused medical attention after a two-vehicle crash Sept. 22 at the intersection of Egan Drive and Glendale Road. The other driver was a 24-year-old Belle Plaine woman.
After a two-vehicle crash Sept. 22 at the intersection of Egan Drive and Quentin Avenue, a 45-year-old Burnsville woman was cited for careless driving. The other driver was a 40-year-old Lakeville woman.
Police investigated a two-vehicle crash Sept. 26 near the intersection of McColl Drive and Highway 13. The drivers were a 46-year-old man and a 44-year-old woman, both from Savage.
On Sept. 27, a 52-year-old Prior Lake man was taken to a local hospital by ambulance after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and South Park Drive. The other driver, a 41-year-old man from Savage, was cited for a stop sign violation.
DWI
On Sept. 22, a 39-year-old man from Savage was jailed for fourth-degree DWI, failure to signal a lane change and having an open bottle after a traffic stop near the intersection of Highway 13 and County Road 42. Police said his blood-alcohol content was .13.
After receiving a complaint of a suspected impaired driver, police arrested a 25-year-old Richfield woman for third-degree DWI. She was stopped Sept. 22 near Highway 169 at the Savage city limits. Police said her blood-alcohol content was .23.
A 23-year-old Lakeville man was arrested for third-degree DWI after being stopped Sept. 23 near the intersection of Egan Drive and Louisiana Avenue for poor driving conduct. Police said his blood-alcohol content was .16.
After police received several complaints of an impaired driver on Sept. 23, a 36-year-old Burnsville man was located at SuperAmerica, 7881 Connelly Pkwy., and arrested for third-degree test refusal and fourth-degree DWI.
On Sept. 23, a 32-year-old Bloomington woman was arrested for third-degree DWI near Highway 169 at the Savage city limits after police received a complaint of an intoxicated driver. Police said her blood-alcohol content was .21.
A 26-year-old West St. Paul man was arrested Sept. 24 near the intersection of Egan Drive and Vernon Avenue for fourth-degree DWI after police received a report of an intoxicated driver. Police said his blood-alcohol content was .19.
After being stopped for speeding (67 mph in a 45 mph zone) near the intersection of Highway 13 and West 150th Street, a 46-year-old Elko man was arrested for fourth-degree DWI. Police said his blood-alcohol content was .16.
THEFT
An employee of Dan Patch Liquor Store, 4425 W. 123rd St., reported the theft of two bottles of liquor valued at $55.98 by an unidentified suspect.
On Sept. 24, a resident of the 12400 block of Lynn Avenue reported the theft of a wallet valued at $25 from her vehicle.
A 29-year-old St. Louis Park man was cited Sept. 26 for misdemeanor theft after police received a report of a gas drive-off of $51.12 from Holiday Stationstore, 12220 Zinran Ave.
Police received a reported Sept. 26 of a possible identity theft in which two cell phone accounts were opened.
The theft of a laptop computer valued at $2,400 from a vehicle parked at Cub Foods, 14075 S. Hwy. 13, was reported Sept. 27 by a man from Savage.
On Sept. 27, a $73.07 gas drive-off was reported at Holiday Stationstore, 7461 Egan Dr.
An iPod valued at $200 was reported stolen from a student locker at Prior Lake High School, 7575 W. 150th St., on Sept. 28.
A stop sign valued at $34 was reported stolen Sept. 28 from the parking lot at Prior Lake High School, 7575 W. 150th St.
BURGLARY
Two burglaries were reported Sept. 24 on West 136th Street: one in the 4000 block, where items valued at $200 were taken from an unlocked vehicle in a garage, and one in the 4200 block, where cash and a garage door opener were taken from an unlocked vehicle in a garage. The loss was $35. Due to the proximity of the two incidents, police believe they could be related.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
On Sept. 24, a portable toilet was reported tipped over at Harriet Bishop Elementary School, 14400 O’Connell Rd.
Approximately $2,000 in damage was caused as a result of scratches to a vehicle parked in the 4000 block of West 141st Street.
NARCOTICS
Police responding to a domestic disturbance on Sept. 22 in the 13200 block of Lynn Avenue arrested a 40-year-old man from Savage for third-degree possession of methamphetamine.
A 17-year-old Prior Lake boy was found in possession of a multicolored glass pipe at Prior Lake High School, 7575 W. 150th St., on Sept. 28. He was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
ASSAULT
An 18-year-old man from Savage reported being assaulted Sept. 23 in the 4100 block of West 141st Street by three unknown men.
Formal charges are expected against a 34-year-old Minneapolis man after he allegedly hit his 25-year-old ex-girlfriend Sept. 28 in the 7400 block of West 144th Street.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A 27-year-old Burnsville man was jailed Sept. 23 for disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process after allegedly refusing to leave his girlfriend’s house in the 4200 block of West 137th Street.
FAMILY INCIDENT
Police received a report of a 4-year-old and a 1½-year-old being left home alone. When police arrived at the home, the mother had returned home from picking her 6-year-old up from school and was advised that she can’t leave the children unattended. A report was forwarded to the Department of Human Services.
ORDINANCE VIOLATIONS
A 19-year-old Prior Lake man was cited Sept. 22 for having a vehicle for sale on a public street.
