Chris and Mary Benedict of Prior Lake announce the birth of their daughter, McKenzie June Benedict, at 4:30 p.m. on June 26, 2007, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Shakopee. She weighed 8 pounds, 10 ounces and was 20½ inches long. She has blue eyes and blond hair.

Grandparents are Tom Benedict, Savage; Sharon Schmitz, Goodyear, Ariz.; Debbie Herold, Rochester; and the late Ken Herold.

McKenzie will be baptized at St. Mark’s Catholic Church on Aug. 19, 2007. The Savage Pacer welcomes announcements about births and adoptions.
