Several local students are among the more than 5,300 students who received degrees during the University of Wisconsin-Madison's spring commencement ceremonies May 19-20.

From Savage: Thomas Gilbert, bachelor of science in mechanical engineering; Nathan Skwor, bachelor of science in mathematics; and Cody Williams, bachelor of science in botany.

From Prior Lake: Timothy Berceau, bachelor of science in economics and mathematics; Dylan Boyan Heaney, bachelor of arts in communication arts and political science; Kaylan Schutz, bachelor of arts in molecular biology and Spanish; and Molly Sullivan, bachelor of science in consumer science.

From Burnsville: Jillian McCool, bachelor of business administration in accounting and Matthew Trenkle, bachelor of business administration in accounting and finance, investment and banking.
