Savage has really dropped the ball here. I was just on main street in Maple Grove. What a great place to hang out and spend the day shopping and hanging out. At Christmas it is decorated and has carriage rides...Savage has concentrated on residental development and not retail which is what really brings in city revenue. No one is going to get excited to see a new Asian market, it's good, but we need a REAL downtown. The Depot was a start. In Maple Grove they have specialty stores, one of a kind restaurants and sit down chains, even spas. We have nothing to draw someone in to spend time. We drive everywhere!
