The public is invited to meet four authors whose books are finalists in the Children’s Book category of the 2008 Minnesota Book Awards on Saturday, April 5 at 1p.m. at the Savage Branch Library, 13090 Alabama Ave.

Authors Catherine Friend (“The Perfect Nest”), Lynne Jonell (“Emmy and the Incredible Shrinking Rat”), Jill Kalz (“Farmer Cap”), and Mia Posada (“Guess What is Growing Inside This Egg”) will read from their books and talk about writing books for children. The event is free of charge and open to all ages. The Savage Friends of the Library and Starbucks are providing refreshments.
