The following obituary is from the April 19, 2008 print edition of the Savage Pacer newspaper:

Debbie Rose Zerr

Debra Rose Zerr, 35, of Burnsville, died Thursday, April 10, 2008 at her residence.

Debbie was born in New Prague on Sept. 6, 1972, the daughter of Leonard and Rosemary (Tupy) Franek. She married David Zerr on Oct. 2, 1999 in New Prague. Debbie loved spending time with her children. She worked as a childcare provider and was a member of the Dakota County Daycare Association. She was a Girl Scout Troop Leader for the Dan Patch Unit Troop 10251 and she was an active volunteer at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.

She is survived by husband, David; children, Chelsea and Carson; mother, Rosemary Franek; sisters, Donna (Brian) Eshleman, Karen Hinderscheit, all of New Prague; nieces, Cassie, Tiffany and Megan Hinderscheit; nephew, Brandon Dayon; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ron and Lorraine Zerr of Crystal; sister-in-law, Deb (Jeff) Dayon of Oak Grove; brother-in-law, Wayne Zerr of Minneapolis.

She was preceded in death by father, Leonard Franek.

Visitation was Monday, April 14, from 5-8 p.m. at the church, and Tuesday one hour before Mass.

Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, April 15, at 1 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Savage. Officiating at the funeral service was the Rev. Michael M. Tix. Honorary Pallbearers were Roger Tupy and Megan Hinderscheit. Pallbearers were Tiffany and Cassie Hinderscheit, Deb Dayon, Wayne Zerr, Cindy Finnamore, Brian Eshleman, Teddy Simon and Michelle Jacobson. Interment in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the children.
