The Junior Dan Patch Days Art Competition is designed to highlight local south-of-the-river students with an art show from June 7-July 26.

The events have been made possible with a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council (MRAC).

"We are excited to have the opportunity to bring this new event to Savage," said Lezlee Hustad, committee chairwoman of the event. "We wanted to do this in 2007, but funding was an issue. This year we received a grant from MRAC that allows us to expand our adult show and launch our youth competition, too."

Both competitions will require volunteer support, so Savage Arts Council members are asking residents, community members and artists interested in volunteering to contact them at info@savageartstudios.com [2].
