The Savage Police Department issued 51 citations between April 17 and April 23 and responded to 219 incidents between April 18 and April 25. Some of the incidents included the following:
CRASHES
A crash near the intersection of County Road 101 and Zinran Avenue involved a 39-year-old Woodbury man and a 43-year-old woman from Prior Lake on April 22. There were no injuries.
On April 24 two 16-year-old Prior Lake girls were driving vehicles involved in a crash near the 154th Street and Dakota Avenue intersection. Neither girl reported injuries.
DWI
A 60-year-old Shakopee man was arrested on April 24 for fourth-degree DWI after he was pulled over for speeding on County Road 42. His blood-alcohol content was tested at .18, according to the police report.
THEFT
On April 19 a 24-year-old man from Savage was arrested for misdemeanor theft after officers received a call of someone taking speakers out of a vehicle in the 13000 block of Glenhurst Avenue.
Oasis Market, 4000 Egan Drive, reported a gas drive off on April 19.
A woman reported on April 20 her car was broken into while at Life Time Fitness, 6554 Loftus Lane. Her purse was taken along with her financial information, cell phone and driver’s license. The case is being investigated.
On April 21 a witness saw two people stealing aluminum scrap metal from Continental Machines, 5505 W. 123rd St., The case is being investigated.
A student at Prior Lake High School, 7575 W. 150th St., reported on April 23 that their MP3 player was stolen.
Thoroughbred Carpet, 8745 W. County Road 101, reported gasoline was stolen out of a company truck on April 23. The company had taken precautions after similar instances in the past and put locking gas caps on the truck. But this time the fuel line was cut to steal the gas.
BURGLARY
On April 19 a resident of the 13700 block of Glenhurst Avenue reported his golf clubs, fishing and paintball equipment were all stolen from his garage and car.
Officials at St. John the Baptist School, 4625 125th St., reported a burglary on April 21. According to the police report, someone had broken into a locked storage area and cabinets inside the school. There was also an unsuccessful attempt made to break into an office.
A woman from the 14400 block of Alabama Avenue reported on April 21 that someone entered her garage and took her wallet from her vehicle.
A resident of the 3900 block of 126th Street reported on April 22 their PlayStation game console, controllers and three games were taken from his unlocked apartment while his family was gone.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
A resident in the 4200 block of 141st Street reported on April 18 that a rock had been thrown through a window of his home.
Charges are pending after a 25-year-old Shakopee man broke a window during a domestic verbal argument with his girlfriend in the 4100 block of 125th Street on April 19.
A Shakopee man whose car was parked in the 3900 block of Egan Drive on April 20 reported his car window was smashed in and some tools and a tool box were stolen.
NARCOTICS
A 22-year-old Prior Lake man was cited for possessing a small amount of marijuana when he was found in Community Park, 13500 Dakota Ave., S., after hours on April 18.
ASSAULT
A person delivering pizza to a home in the 12000 block of Zinran Avenue on April 18 was reportedly shoved by the customer when they were unable to make change for $100. There were no injuries.
A 36-year-old man from Savage was arrested on domestic assault charges after hitting his girlfriend and threatening her with a hammer on April 19 while in the 4200 block of 124th Street.
