Southwest Newspapers, which publishes the Savage Pacer and six other weekly newspapers in the southwest metro area, has launched a new Web site to help local residents save money.

The Web site is www.saverfreak.com [1].

According to the company, saverfreak.com features “one freakishly good coupon deal” at a time, usually from a merchant in the southwest suburban area. A new deal will appear every Friday.

“In these lean economic times, people are looking for bargains and deals – and that’s just what saverfreak.com offers,” said Mark Weber, general manager of Southwest Newspapers.

The newspaper company is working on another new Web site that will offer restaurant gift certificates at half their regular price which will debut in June.
