Wednesday, April 30
A bomb was reported to be in an empty bank building in Savage Crossings on Egan Drive at 2:28 p.m. Firefighters responded and discovered there was not a bomb, but electrical cords for a cash register in the floor.
At 5:46 p.m. firefighters responded to a smoke detector sounding in a home in the 14300 block of Savannah Oaks Drive. It was a false alarm and the homeowners were told to replace the battery.
A false carbon monoxide alarm was reportedly sounding in a home in the 14900 block of Overlook Drive at 6:40 p.m. Homeowners were told to replace the alarm.
Thursday, May 1
Smoke in an apartment building in the 12300 block of Lynn Avenue triggered several smoke detectors to go sound at 8:52 p.m. A chicken left burning on the stove in one apartment was determined to be source. Firefighters vented the building before leaving but there was no fire and no one was injured.
Friday, May 2
Firefighters responded to a call of a possible drug overdose in the 4000 block of 141st Street at 8:03 a.m. Firefighters opened the locked door of the home so police and first responders could care for the woman.
Sunday, May 4
At 8:29 a.m. firefighters were called to a home in the 5400 block of 144th Street to help open the door because a mother had been locked out of by her child.
Monday, May 5
In the 7000 block of South Park Drive a contractor working in a townhome accidentally hit the sprinkler system at 3:16 p.m. Firefighters shut the sprinkler system off.
Tuesday, May 6
Firefighters were called to assist a 72-year-old man in full cardiac arrest in the 6900 block of Connelly Circle. Firefighters assisted with CPR and loading the man into the ambulance before he was transported to the hospital.
