The Burnsville baseball team won its final regular season game on May 19, sneaking past Bloomington Jefferson in a Lake Conference home game 2-1.

Junior Grant Larson picked up the win for the Blaze, hurling a complete game. He allowed five hits and no earned runs, while striking out four.

The Blaze (10-9 overall, 9-9 in the conference) scored both of its runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to erase a 1-0 deficit. Senior John Means provided the big hit, a two-run single that scored Cody Aasen and Zach Harazin.

The Section 3AAA tournament is scheduled to start on Friday, May 23 with the four sub-section tournaments. The four sub-section winners advance to the section semifinals, which starts June 30 at Alimagnet Fields in Burnsville. Seeds are not available. But when they are, they can be found at www.mshsl.org [1].
