The Savage Police Department issued 74 citations between June 19 and June 25 and responded to 310 incidents between June 20 and June 27. Some of the incidents included the following:
DRIVING VIOLATION
While driving on County Road 27 on June 21, a 34-year-old St. Cloud man allegedly hit a sign that injured a pedestrian. The St. Cloud man was jailed on criminal vehicular operation.
DWI
A 43-year-old man from Savage was arrested for fourth-degree DWI and making an illegal U-turn while driving on 158th Street on June 25. Blood-alcohol content results are pending.
THEFT
A man reported a faceplate for a car stereo was stolen from his car while it was parked in the 4800 block of 143rd Street on June 20. The car was unlocked.
Prior Lake-Savage Rental Center, 15233 Hwy. 13, reported a pop machine was broken into and damaged on June 22.
Midwest Cellular Inc., 7450 Egan Drive, reported a display cell phone was stolen on June 22.
Paradise Car Wash, 14324 Huntington Ave., reported a man attempted to use a lost or stolen credit card on June 22. He left before police arrived and employees were unable to give a description of the man.
A man from Apple Valley reported his wallet was stolen from his gym locker while at Life Time Fitness, 6550 Loftus Lane, on June 22. He also reported his credit card was used.
Dairy Queen, 3939 Egan Drive, reported an employee theft of money on June 24.
A car window was smashed out of a car parked in the 4000 block of 141st Street on June 25. The Theft of a meter in the car was attempted.
A wallet was stolen out of an unlocked car parked overnight in the 5700 block of Woodbridge Drive on June 25.
A 24-year-old Belle Plaine man was cited for shoplifting after allegedly stealing a boxed set of the “Sex and the City” DVD series from SuperTarget, 14333 Hwy. 13, on June 25. Then man was chased on foot and not found. He later called police to turn himself in and was taken to jail.
SuperTarget, 14333 Hwy. 13, reported the theft of an MP3 player on June 25.
BURGLARY
A resident of the 7600 block of Southridge Court reported on June 20 he had evidence of someone entering his home without permission. For two days, the man had come home and found his front door unlocked. On the third day, he put a piece of tape over the deadbolt, came home and found it had been disturbed. There was no visible sign of forced entry and nothing appeared to be missing.
A garage door opener and three credit cards were stolen from an unlocked vehicle in the 3900 block of 141st Street on June 25.
PROPERTY DAMAGE
A lawn was damaged by a vehicle on the 5000 block of 135th Street on June 21.
On June 22, a St. Louis Park woman reported the back window was smashed out of her car while it was parked overnight in the 3900 block of 143rd Street. Nothing was taken.
Two women reported their houses were egged on June 23, one on the 13600 block of Dan Patch Drive, the other on the 7100 block of Maryland Circle. There was not permanent damage.
A 16-year-old Apple Valley boy was cited with criminal damage to property and careless driving after police received a complaint of a vehicle running into garbage cans on June 25 in the 13800 block of Utica Avenue.
ASSAULT
After a neighbor called to report a 44-year-old man from the 13700 block of Zarthan Avenue had allegedly hit his wife, the man was taken to jail and charged with fifth-degree domestic assault.
MISCELLANEOUS
A report from the 4700 block of Highway 13 on June 20 stated a man indecently exposed himself. Police were unable to find him.
