Firefighters were called to the 9000 block of Preserve Trail for smoke detectors going off at 8:24 p.m. The call was the result of faulty alarms.
Friday, Nov. 21
Firefighters were canceled en route to a call to provide the Burnsville Fire Department mutual aid for an apartment fire in the 1400 block of West 143rd Street in Burnsville at 9:22 p.m.
At 10:43 p.m. firefighters responded to a call of smoke detectors going off at a home in the 13700 block of Ashcroft Road. The call was the result of dirty smoke detectors.
Monday, Nov. 24
Firefighters were called to the 5500 block of West 130th Street for the smell of gas in a home at 7:40 p.m. Upon arrival, firefighters noticed a slight smell of gas in the home as the result of a malfunctioning stove. Firefighters vented the house and advised the homeowner to repair the stove.
Friday, Nov. 28
Firefighters were called to a fire alarm at Continental Machines, 5505 W. 123rd St., at 6:18 a.m. The alarm was the result of a malfunctioning smoke detector.
Saturday, Nov. 29
Firefighters responded to a carbon-monoxide alarm in the 14000 block of Kipling Avenue at 10:52 a.m. The result of the alarm was a bad battery.
At 8:44 p.m. firefighters were called to a carbon-monoxide alarm in the 7400 block of West 144th Street. It was a false alarm to due a defective meter.
